My lady friends used to tell me that good men are rare. They said men are liars, cheats, unreliable, fear commitment, are unserious and the list went on.

I’m sorry that some men have used and misused the women who trusted them with their hearts. Any man who fails to see your value and appreciate you doesn’t deserve you.

Good news alert: All good men are not taken.

In every generation, God always has a remnant. He has many wonderful men out there, but such men are not for every woman.

How To Get A Godly Man:

# 1: Be A Good Woman First

A good man deserves a good woman. And it takes a good woman to discern and get a good man.

What are you doing to become a better person? Do you have those qualities that you seek in a good man?

When you do your best to become a better woman, not a perfect woman, you are most likely to be noticed by a good man.

# 2: Be Clear About What You Need In A Man

You can never get that which you’re not clear about. What are the basic qualities you want in a man? Do you want a godly man, a teachable man, a loving man?  What are those qualities in a man you know you can’t tolerate?

Please don’t make the mistake of searching for a perfect man. He doesn’t exist.

Give the character, values and godliness of a man higher priority than fading things like money, houses, cars, or even physical appearance.

Then trust God to bring the right man in His time and way.

# 3: Ask God For The Godly Man

No one in the world would love you to get a good man as God does. If you are His child, then you can boldly present to Him the qualities of the kind of man you desire in your life. God takes pleasure in giving good gifts to those who ask Him.

“³ Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
⁴ Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.

⁵ Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.” Psalm 37:3-5

# 4: Wait For Your Godly Man

At this point, it’s time to wait. This is the place where most women give up and choose to fight for themselves instead of waiting on God.

Don’t settle for less. Keep your hands empty to receive the good God has prepared for you.

Determine to wait for your good man. When he comes, he’ll make you forget all the days you waited for him.

God makes everything beautiful in its time.

“For since the world began,
no ear has heard
and no eye has seen a God like you,
who works for those who wait for him!” Isaiah 64:4

Above all, fall deeper in love with Jesus Christ. Allow Him to be your greatest satisfaction. In His good time and best way, He’ll deliver the man He has prepared for you.
