Do I Have Only One Special One To Marry?

Before and after I got married, I have met many wonderful Christian ladies. But among the many capable and potential women, God brought Damalie into my life as the most suitable helper. I chose her and in her, I’ve found all I need in a wife. I know God knew her, prepared her and brought her into my life for a purpose.

In the same way, God knows the person you’ll marry. But since you don’t know who that person is, you can’t be 100% sure until the day of your wedding. The one you marry is the one special one for you.

Like in other areas of our lives, we live by faith. We know God cares about every detail of our lives and marriage is not an exception.

Therefore, we can trust Him to lead us to the person who fits with His plan for our lives.

How about those who lose their spouse to death and remarry? Still, God knew what would happen and will prepare someone else for that person. And God still allows them to choose.

God never created us to be His robots programmed to do His will by default or by force. He gives us guidelines and instructions and lets us choose. If we ask Him for wisdom and help as we make the choice, He’ll surely come to our aid.

If you loved someone and they didn’t reciprocate your love, they weren’t yours. If you were in a relationship and it ended, pick yourself up and move on.

Sometimes the break up may be our fault. Still, if it’s beyond your power to mend, it’s time to move on with your life. That doesn’t stop you from making an apology for your wrong or mistakes. As a Christian, it’s important to apologize to those you wronged you can access and ask them to forgive you, for the sake of peace.

Remember this; God cares about you. He won’t deny you a spouse if that’s what He sees you need. And He won’t give you a spouse just because you think you need one. Perhaps being single is the best gift from God to you now.

All in all, seek to know God’s heart concerning marriage and the person you should marry. Allow God to take the lead.

Memorize these two verses;

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly,

He delights in every detail of their lives.”

(Psalm 37:23)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

(Proverbs 3:5-6)
