Men who got hurt find it hard to believe godly men exist because of their past experiences.

If you’re a single man, I have good news for you: All the good ladies are not taken. In every generation, God always has a remnant.

I’m so grateful that God gave me a godly wife. We celebrate seven years of marriage this year and since we started our journey, God has used her to transform my life in many ways.

Here 4 tips on how to marry a godly wife;

# 1: Be A Good Godly Man

Don’t you think a good lady deserves a good man?

It takes a good man to see a good woman. What are you doing to become a better man? Do you know your life’s purpose and assignment? Are you ready to lead, love and learn with her? Are you well groomed?

In our times, godliness is relative. Everyone is good in their own eyes. But being a godly man is measuring yourself by the standard of God’s Word.

When you are a man of character, you can easily identify a woman of character. Wishing to have what you don’t have in you is asking too much. Focus on developing yourself and she will continue it from there.

# 2: Know The Qualities Of The Wife You Seek

As a child of God, you can ask Him what you need. But can you ask what you don’t know?

What kind of girl are you asking God for? What are those qualities that come top of your list? I know physical beauty is important to us as men, but it should not come at the expense of the unfading inner beauty.

Write those qualities down. And as you interact with God, He will begin to form the picture of the wife you need. Then as you delight in Him, one day He will give you the desire of your heart.

 “Trust in the Lord and do good. Take delight in the Lord and he will give you your heart’s desire. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him and he will help you.”(NLT)

# 3: Wait Patiently For Your Wife

At this point, it’s time to wait. This is the place where most men give up and choose to fight for themselves instead of waiting on God.

My friend, don’t settle for less. Keep your hands empty to receive the best God has prepared for you.

You can’t go around breaking women’s hearts and expect to reap good. You can’t sleep around and trust God to give you a virgin wife.

Waiting demands keeping yourself, mind and body, for your coming bride.

Commit to waiting for your beautiful bride. When she comes, she will make you forget all the days lonely and cold days are enduring.

God has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11.

“For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait on him.” Isaiah 64:4 (NLT)

# 4: Don’t Play Games When You Find Her

As you wait, how do you know when she comes? Or do you go and seek her out?

One verse I misunderstood says, “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD. Proverbs 18:22. What does this mean?

Bill Thrasher in his Believing God for His Best explains that “the Hebrew word for “find” does not note a diligent search but rather finding something along one’s normal and natural path of life.”

In other words, God knows how best to bring her.

Always remember that a good and godly wife is a gift from God. Look to Him to sort you out in this area, in His way and His time.

And He will.
