The most important preparation for marriage is becoming the right person for your future spouse. Even in marriage, the only person you can change is yourself. Therefore, start working on yourself now. The more godly you become, the better your chances of choosing the right person to marry.
You can’t put yourself in a position of being “turned on” and not engage in sex sooner or later. Every action that stimulates you sexually is adding firewood to a fire that eventually burns what’s precious to you.
Thieves are those who earn or gain money and possessions through lies, deception and corruption. At the expense of others, they make themselves rich. Because of their greed, they murder others by denying them the worth of their sweat or the privilege they deserve.
Are you devoted to your pastor, apostle, reverend or prophet more than Christ? Do you quote your denomination’s founder – Wesley, Luther, Calvin, and Pope among others – more than the Bible? Can you discern when someone teaches lies on the pulpit? Who has the final say in your life?
Millions of prayers are said every minute. Even unbelievers say a prayer when they’re in trouble. But many of these prayers are not heard.
The most annoying thing about sexual sins is attempting to fulfil a temporary and unquenchable sexual desire in a few minutes and opening a door to permanent lifetime consequences!
Sin not only displeases a holy God but also makes us miss the best He has in store for us. In every generation, many people miss His will for their lives because of sin.
We should never underestimate the power of lies. I liken lies to the little poison in the rat’s food. A little lie has the potential to destroy a life! Lies deceive, imprison and kill. Many people have walked to their graves because they believed lies.
Marriage brings the best out of you not only through the good times and helpful things your spouse does for you but also through the hard times and unpleasant things they do to you.
As parents, let’s talk to our children and teach them what God wants them to know. Let’s help them know their identity in Christ and discover their purpose in life. If we don’t, someone else at school, on TV or social media will teach them Satan’s lies.
