The World Needs Caring And Courageous Mothers| Are You One?

Pharoah ordered the execution of Jewish boys because the nation of Israel had grown numerous and strong in Egypt. That’s the season Moses was born.

His parents saw something special in him. And they did everything possible to conceal his birth and save him from imminent death.

Like Pharoah, Satan in every generation goes against God’s command to “produce ad fill the earth.” (Genesis 1:28) And his first target is always the boy child. That’s why he targeted Christ at his birth too.

Do you know that our boys are in the same danger today?

Well, they are.

That why the world needs CARING MOTHERS like Moses’ mother, Jochebed. With her caring heart, she hid her baby boy for three months (Exodus 2:1-10). She risked her life for the special baby boy God had given her.

No one can care for a child as the mother does. She carries her baby in her womb for nine months, breasts the baby and continues to care for the child to adulthood.

Sadly, some mothers and fathers have surrendered their children to the vices of sexual immorality and drugs simply because of fear, financial “gains” and busyness. Many children today are neglected and left to learn from the world rather than be trained in the word of God.

Notice that Moses’ mother wasn’t just a caring mother, but also a COURAGEOUS MOTHER.

After hiding Moses for three months, she strategically placed him where someone important would locate him. And when Pharoah’s daughter discovered the baby boy, his mother COURAGEOUSLY volunteered to take care of him. What if they got to know she was the true mother? Imagine what would have happened to her.

Mothers, take courage and protect your children from vices like drugs, alcohol, LGBTQ+, porn and masturbation. Our boys and girls are under attack.

You know, the first five years in the lives of our children are very crucial and this is when mothers are very close to these young stars. What mothers teach them affects them for the rest of their lives.

I think Jochebed told Moses his true identity. That he was a Jew, not an Egyptian. By the time she left the palace at whichever age, the boy had already got the right “dose” of his true identity from his CARING and COURAGEOUS mother.

Our dear mothers, what words do you speak to your children? What are your children watching on TV and phones? Do you know your children’s friends and what they’re teaching them?

Our dear fathers, are you helping boys to appreciate and stand strong in their manhood? Do you spend time with your boys, training and mentoring them to become men of valour?

As parents, let’s talk to our children and teach them what God wants them to know. Let’s help them know their identity in Christ and discover their purpose in life. If we don’t, someone else at school, on TV or social media will teach them Satan’s lies.

We cannot afford to delegate our duty.

Now is the time to redeem the next generation.

Now is the time to become caring and courageous parents.
