The world’s problems persist and even get worse because people don’t understand their cause and solution.
What is the greatest enemy of mankind? Is it nuclear weapons, terrorists, floods, or viruses? Or perhaps Satan?
None of the above.
The greatest enemy of man on earth is SIN!
Since that terrible bite of the forbidden fruit by Adam and Eve, we became sinners by default. Until we leave this world, we must constantly battle against this deadly enemy.
Two brothers woke up one beautiful morning with a wonderful desire to make sacrifices to God. Abel sacrificed a lamb from his flock and Cain gave from his crops. God accepted Abel’s sacrifice and rejected the one of Cain.
The angry, bitter and jealous Cain thought of killing his young brother. God saw the rising storm of sin in his heart and warned him saying, ‘sin is knocking at your door. If you let it in, it will take control, wreck your life and disorganize your destiny. But you have what it takes to overcome it.’ (Paraphrased. See story in Genesis 4)
Sadly, Cain chose to ignore God’s warning, lured his brother into a lonely field and killed him.
The power, deception and consequences of sin are exposed in this first family. After the fall of Adam and Eve, Abel became the first murder victim and Cain became the first murderer.
So, God cursed Cain saying. “No longer will the ground yield good crops for you, no matter how hard you work! From now on you will be a homeless wanderer on the earth.” (Genesis 4:12)
Sometimes I wonder why God didn’t stop Cain from taking the life of his brother yet He knew what was about to happen. And have you ever wondered why God doesn’t stop us from acting in ways that are harmful to ourselves and others? I often wish God would slap sense into me!
But that’s not how God operates. He formed us in His image and likeness and gave us free will. We have the liberty to make choices but we can’t choose the consequences, whether good or bad. Therefore, sin is a choice.
Sin is going against or rebelling against the standards and instructions of our Creator!
Sin not only displeases a holy God but also makes us miss the best He has in store for us. In every generation, many people miss His will for their lives because of sin.
Sexual immorality, in simple terms, is any activity that stimulates and seeks to satisfy sexual desire outside marriage.
I’m not the one who sets the standards of sexual purity, God does and He should because He made us!
Can you guess the biggest sex organ on the body?
It’s in the mind where the thinking happens. The lies about sex are sown in the mind and bear fruit in our actions.
That’s the battlefield of sin. What becomes of our lives is brewed in the heart and mind!
And before something happens physically, God has already seen it because He is all-knowing.
That’s why Jesus said, “But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28) Therefore, anything that triggers lust in our minds can lead to sin.
Therefore, God wants truth, purity and holiness in the innermost part of our hearts and minds! (Psalm 51:6)
Here are the 16 common sins of sex:
#1: Fornication
– sexual lust and/or intercourse between a man and woman who are not married.
#2: Adultery
– sexual lust and/or intercourse of a married person with another who is not their spouse.

#14: Anal sex

#15: Cohabiting

#16: Sexting
– sexual flirting and provocation through SMS, WhatsApp, email or any other means of texting.
#17: Sextortion

#18: Prostitution
– engaging in sexual relations in exchange for money, payment or fee. Also called harlotry or commercial sex.
The world’s wicked and famous acronym for sexual sins is LGBTQIA+ used to signify Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual people collectively.[1]
Lesbian: A woman who has a significant attraction, primarily to members of the same gender, or who identifies as a member of the lesbian community.
Gay: One who has significant sexual attractions primarily to members of the same gender or sex, or who identifies as a member of the gay community. Typically associated with men.
Bisexual: The potential to be sexually attracted to people of more than one sex and/or gender, not necessarily at the same time, not necessarily in the same way, and not necessarily to the same degree.
Transgender: Umbrella term for those whose gender expression or identity is not congruent with the sex assigned at birth and/or whose gender is not validated by the dominant culture.
Queer: Reclaimed derogatory slang by many who reject gender and sexual binaries. Also used as a political identity by many who want to dismantle oppressive systems in society.
Intersex: A general term used for a variety of bodies in which a person is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that does not fit into the sex binary.
Asexual: Umbrella term for those to tend not to have a sexual desire towards others; asexuals may experience romantic attractions and engage in sexual behavior.”
Did you know that adultery, homosexuality, incest, and bestiality were capital offences punishable by death? (Leviticus 20) That tells us how much God hates every kind of sexual immorality!
“An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him.” Proverbs 5:22
Please note; Satan doesn’t mind how powerful, anointed, or successful you are or become as long as you’re a slave to sexual sins, he’s got you!
If you ever fall into any of the above sexual sin, do this immediately rather than run or hide.
Then consider applying the FLEE Plan of overcoming sexual sins and living a pure life.
